Had a great day with my 8 year old son on this new lake.  He caught fish without my help!!  We caught 15 in 3 hours of fishing.  I did not actually fish much since I was focused on teaching the boy.  I caught several pitching a jig at the abundance of visible timber.  My largest was 5 lbs, 3 or 4 more in the 4-5lb range.  Owners are obviously doing a lot of work to cater to our members.  New dock, new boats, they are installing a concrete ramp for small boats.  The ranch foreman had me check out the new pontoon boats they were getting ready to put in the water.  These things are sweet with nice foot control trolling motors.  I will be back….  Thanks for adding a great new property closer to Fort Worth.

By the way, my son caught his on a texas rig for the first time.  He actually set the hook.  There are some things you just can’t teach.  LOL.
