Owner of Van Alystene Jer Mar Lake, Jerry King who fishes his lake only a few times a year was thrilled to have caught a 9 lb bass this week. This was the largest bass ever caught by Jerry and the largest bass reported from this lake. Jer Mar Lake is a 10 acre lake 45 miles North of Dallas and is just 5 years old. This fish represents almost 2 lbs a year of growth! Jerry is committed to growing large bass. We have added Tilapia, threadfin shad, 75 red cedar trees as cover and he is now feeding the bluegill; Purina AquaMax, the best fish food money can buy.
