Fished with my father-in-law Friday at Ashwood Palms near Matagora, and again on Saturday at Rock Chimney near La Grange.

We fished Ashwood Palms from 1P to 6P and caught 25 between us.  Biggest one was a little over 2 lbs.  Weather was nice and we had a good time despite not catching anything w/ significant size.  There is quite a bit more vegetation than there was about 6 weeks ago when I fished here - we used worms mostly and I caught a couple on spinners.

We fished Rock Chimney from about 2P to 6P and we didn’t do well.  We did not use a boat but did bank fish the entire perimeter and I only caught one and my father-in-law got skunked, which I’ve reminded him about a few times since!  The one I caught wasn’t big as it was about 14”, but it was real chunky to Steve’s point about the ones they observed when they shocked the lake.  We got very few bites - it sounds like there are still some good fish in there but we weren’t able to locate them from the bank.

Sorry everyone, disregard that last post. My neighbor got a hold of my ipad and thought it’d be funny post some nonsense.  Kind of funny perhaps, but I didn’t want folks thinking pepperonis were the answer!
