First of all we stayed in the new cabin.  It’s really nice and ready for grilling, coffee was available, a fridge and some other things.  AC in both bedrooms and a nice bathroom with shower just outside the door.  Well worth the stay.  The evening fishing we reached temps above 100 and caught 4 fish including one at 4 and a half.  The next morning, we got on the water an hour before sunrise.  It was cloudy and cool (about 85 degrees felt cool).  The buzz bait action was on running over lay downs in 4-6’ deep water.  We caught the remaining 7 bass including the 5.8 lb between 6-8 in the morning except one that we caught on the last cast before finishing up at 10am.  The heat was a factor.  A lack of big worms hurt us as I left my worm folder at home back in The Colony.  It was a good trip and my friend caught his PB – He’s new to the sport.
