My son, David who is also a member of PWF, and I fished from about 6:30-10:30 and caught 17 bass up to 3 lbs, along with four brim or goggle-eye.  We caught about half of them on top-waters until 8:30 and moved on out in the deeper water the rest of the morning.  We were successful with square bills and swim baits.  I caught a couple of nice bass on a Texas-rigged worm.  The lake, like most of our lakes this time of year was down about 18-24 inches.  It made it a challenge to launch our small aluminum boat and had it not been for a four-wheel Jeep would have likely been impossible to trailer and pull out later that morning.  The owner keeps the lake trim and clean and it would be easy to fish from the bank all the way around.  You really need a small boat that you can launch by hand to overcome that dropoff.  There was a nice breeze blowing and father/son on a summer morning is hard to beat!
