My wife and I are new members and we are booked for Cleburne Six O Ranch in two weeks. Any tips for a morning trip there? Thanks!

I have always done good fishing the west side. Fish the flats in the cove directly across from the dock. On the north side at the opening of the cove is some trees and brush in the water. Fish this as I always caught some nice ones there. Now go to second cove and fish both sides of the old dam. Do a google map on the site and a satellite view and you can make out the old dam. Now go into the cove and throw weedless frog in the back of the cove. When you are done there move along the west bank fishing and then fish the dam on the south end. I like watermelon seed and red shad plastics. Some guys like to fish the timber in north end with jigs. Watch your trolling motor as lots of trees. I might also take a 1x4 for the transom as it is starting to rot. You can fish the dock area at lunch for big copper nose bluegills. With my grandkids I have them use a little bread ball. Two best bass I caught were right at the docket chasing bluegills. I used a yum fluke or a zoom fluke. I hope this helps.
