Yes, I saw the weather reports prior to making the reservation for Monday PM, and the day before.  Yes, it was sunny with scattered clouds when I left my house at 1130am. Yes, it got cloudier the closer I got to the ranch.  No, it wasn’t raining when I arrived.  The rain held off for about ten minutes. I had made about a half-dozen casts.  Steady sprinkle and then the frog-strangler stuff.  Put the rod down and went to the truck. Ate my sandwich and looked at my weather apps. Appeared that the rain was not going to let up until 3-4pm, so I took off about 1pm so I would not get stuck in the mud.  I figure about 12 bucks per cast plus gas!

You can pick your friends…your nose…but the weather’s gonna do what the weather do!  Maybe next time.
