My son Mike (PWF member) and I fished Six O Ranch Sunday afternnon, April 1. We caught 21 fish of which 12 were harvested. The wind was 15-25 mph, but manageable of on this big lake. The 9 over the harvest limit average 2-2.5 pounds, which the largest being caught going at 22” Great lake which we will go back to again.

My wife and I are looking forward to the fish fry later this month. Please, anyone who has not come to these should re-think and make time for this. Steve,Keri,and Brian will all be there as well as the land owner. The club puts on a great event and it is one to remember all year. Here are a couple things you should take into account should you be attending.
1, Come hungry, the fish fry is awesome!
2, if you are bringing your boat remember that at this lake you must hand launch it as the land owners don’t allow trailers to be backed into the lake. There will be plenty of folks to help you do this if you need help.
3, this is going to be a great opportunity for all of us to see first hand the hard word that Steve Alexander has put into this lake to bring it back to it’s hay day.

Love it, Love it, Love it. So excited to see the average size fish over 2 lbs and that you caught a 22” fish (which is about 6 lbs). Our harvest and fertilization efforts are paying off. 2 years ago, the lake was a dink fest. Today, the lake is rebounding and I am thankful to all who are helping to make this lake great. Please know that in the 1990’s this lake was one of the premier private fishing lakes in the entire state of Texas. I am friends with the man who originally stocked and managed the lake and in the late 90’s the lake was off the chain. Would love to see the lake rebound to its glory days.
