Fished from about 1:30 to 5 PM Sunday, April 1, 2011 and it was very windy, water was muddy and temperature was about 85 degrees but the fishing was fantastic. Fished with my Son and Grandson and we caught lots of fish from the time we got there until around 4:30 and we took about a 30 minute break to eat and re-hydrate. Lost count of how many fish but the fish were all big with biggest ones in the 4, 5, and 6 lbs range with beautiful colors, they almost look like spotted bass. My grandson caught three big ones. I don’t believe you need a boat for this location although we just fished a fraction of the water on the bank even though I took my bass buster. We used only two lures, a white grub with curly tail and a brown/yellow grubb with a chartreuse curly tail. No other lures were used because thise were working so good. Definitely will fish here again.

Tony,
Thanks for the report. It is amazing to me that this lake does not see more fisherman. It is a great lake that is way under utilized. Lost count…love it!
