I borrowed one of the Jon boats to explore the east lake this morning.  It started out slow as I tried to figure out the fish. I caught one on a spinner bait, one on a jig, and one on a crankbait.  All of those were under a pound but the fight was fun!  As the day went on I switched tactics and managed to bring in 5 on the whopper plopper.  There are so few places you can catch a fish on top water in December!   I wanted to check out the west lake but I wasn’t 100% sure where to go and didn't have cell service strong enough to double check so I figured I'd save that adventure for another day.  I look forward to coming back again!
