Batting .500 sounds great, but when you only muster two bites all day, it takes it down a notch!  Fished PM, started out mostly cloudy, then the sun broke through later in the day; beautiful afternoon at 77 degrees when I hit the water.  Wind was 10-12mph with gusts of 15+, but given this lake is down amongst a valley, the wind wasn’t realy a factor much.

Worked the area between the feeder and ramp and then ramp towards dock.  No bites, but did have a big bass jump that got the blood pumping.  Worked all shorelines and drop offs from the maps on the website, but just couldn’t seem to find them with a variety of lures and techniques.  Finally went back to the area between the dock and ramp.  Caught a nice 3lber. on a Senko  and missed a really shallow bite on a drop shot.

This time of year can be so hit and miss with the fish, but I just an happy to have time to go out and explore new properties.
