Fished Lago Escondido on Monday afternoon. Started out cloudy & warm but got flat hot (90+ degrees) after clouds cleared in early afternoon. Winds were generally light and most welcome. Action was fairly steady except in the hottest part of the afternoon; caught fish in all areas of the lake, deep and shallow. A good number were 3+ lbs. All were fiesty & looked fat & healthy.
In addition to the good bite, there were so many ducks landing and taking off on the lake, it seemed like an airport at rush hour!

90 degrees already!! When we were their in November the amount of ducks on the lake was crazy. I think so much water has dried up, there are fewer and fewer places for ducks to call home.
