Total Fish/Sizes : Three 5 pound bass, four 4 pound bass and 20+ 3 pounders
Lures Used : Frog, chatter and wacky worm
Took my girlfriend out for her first time bass fishing and she caught a 4.68 pound bass for her first bass ever! Caught a few in the low 5 pound range and tons of 3 ½ -4 pound bass. Had about 10+ blow up on a frog but they never ate it, seemed like big ones that would miss it based on the splash.
it was super windy so only could fish half the lake really well but there were quite a few spawning so it made it too easy and didn't catch a fish under 3 pounds . Next week or so they should be full spawn.

Ben – you've only had a few reports but you have had an incredibly productive spring already! You are either a fish whisperer or have impeccable timing with reservations. Either way – congrats! And now your girlfriend – I don't know, she may be ruined for bass fishing. In the future she's going to be like, “Why are we catching all these dinks?”. I'm sure there are many similar stories, but I'd think to catch a 4.68 for your first bass has to be pretty extraordinary!
