The weather in East Texas could not have better. Light winds and sunny skies. Accomodations were great as usual. Mr. and Mrs. Yates were very accomodating and they do a great job of providing everything you need for the weekend.
We caught alot of fish over the weekend, but not very many over the 16 inch harvest size. We caught about 85 bass with two right at 6 lbs. Lost one on Sunday on a broken lure that was larger, but that’s how it goes. We harvested 75 fish which I would estimate totaled 50-60 lbs. Caught too many to count of the 1lb+ bluegill.
Alot of the fish were caught on topwater torpedos in the upper creek end of the lake along winding the creek. Very good action just before dark.
Very enjoyable weekend at a great club lake.

That is a crazy amount of fish for Yates Place. As most of you know Yates is managed for trophy bass. We pulled out more than 700 fish 16 inches and smaller last year alone! Thanks for harvesting so many!I wish you had caught that big one!
