I fished from 4-7:30. I caught no fish until 6:00. I caught them all on sand colored horny toads on the west side of the lake. Two were small and I kept them out of the lake. The other six were between 14 and 18 inches. Any ideas how to fish the rest of the lake when the top water bite is not on?

I was there a couple of weeks ago. At that time, the fish were holding tight to the grasses that are growing on the edges. I had success with a watermelon senko fished wacky. Either starting it in the grass and bringing it out slowly or bringing it along the edge of the grass line. The trick was fishing it slow. I got LOTS of hits this way. The only rub is if the fish are still in the weeds or have moved off for some reason. If they are still there, this should get you some action.
