I brought a client Jerry to Crossroads so he could experience bass fishing in the US. Not only experience bass fishing, he made his first cast on a closed face reel. The reason I knew this was when he was trying to use his index finger on the closed face as you would when casting a spinning reel haha. After instructing and giving him some time to practice on the shore, we went fishing in the jonboat. We got out to the lake around 230 pm. The road to the lake was much better than the last time. It was cloudy and windy with a little rain. The winds were most miserable which continued all day. I ended up using the anchor all day. The bass were not deep. Fishing was much better along the shallow flats over grass. We used a chatterbait with skirts or swimbait bodies to draw them out of the grass. The fish were not biting as much as recent trips. I think the stormy weather had something to do with it. Anyways, we had a great time. We caught 20 and culled 8. Thank you owner and PWF!
