I hit the lake in the middle of a cold front blowing through. Winds were never less than 15mph and gusted to 25. Fortunately, the temperatures stayed in the 60s and 70s and the fish didn’t seem to mind at all. I fished from 9:00-12:30 and 1:30-5:00. I caught 34 bass, half of which were culls. My best were 3-3 pounders and 5-2 pounders. I probably could have caught more but I wanted to cover as much of the lake as possbile looking for the lunker that I never found. I used a variety of baits but the blue/black Yum Dinger was overwhelmingly the top producer. I fished it weighted and unweghted and Texas-rigged and wacky. I caught a handful on various crank baits. I was almost as productive fishing from the bank between the dock and the pier as I was in my boat. The bottom line is the lake is very healthy and full of bass.
