Fry
Fish Cleburne regularly but rarely post. Thought I would give you a “pre-fish” report before the fish fry.
First I want to say “thanks” for covering the bad spots in the floor of the boat!
Windy, cloudy & some drizzling on Friday. Lake appears to be up about 2 ft. Water clarity was maybe a foot, unusual for this place. I’m sure the recent rains and wind contributed to this.
Caught 8; seven right at 14 inches, one 16 incher. All healthy and all but one I cleaned still had eggs.
Fish caught were tight to wood cover and around 3-8ft. Caught them all on a Rio Grande 4.5 inch rattlesnake worm & a 9.5 inch Reaction Innovations worm. Darker colors (watermelon/purple with red, blue, green flecks).
Wind made it tough to fish the old dam and some of the “favorite spots”. Think it would have been a “great” day if the wind had cooperated. However, a day of fishing is always a “great ” day!
