Will be at the woodlands for business on Thurs (4/19) and Fri. Have made reservations to fish Buckhorn with a colleague Thursday afternoon, any one have any thoughts as I well be short on time tomorrow afternoon and want to make the best of my trip. Thanks Johnny

I fished it years ago and it was in January. Got six on silver and blue rattletraps. Watch for alligators as this location. When I would have a bass thrashing on the water a big gator would surface. Maybe they took care of this nuisance as it was maybe 8 years ago. But the trinity is not far away and another could have move in. Be careful.

Sorry this reaches you late Johnny. This is the closest club property to my house so I’ve fished it 4 or 5 times. I’ve caught some nice fish here, but have yet to get any decent numbers out of this lake. Hope you did well. If so, I’d really appreciate any tips.

I fished that property about two years ago right after a big storm, but did not have much success. I did not see any major structure changes as it appears to be a very “flat” bottom. I did not get a chance to fish the piers as the owners were having an event in that area. Be aware there are alligators there.
I did see fish suspending in 3-4 ft, but could not get them to hit. Plenty of Lilly pads and timber
