Damita Jo and I fished from 12:30-7:30 without much luck.  The lake sure looked good but we couldn’t buy a bite.

Although it appeared that the location had received a large amount of rain, driving to the water was no issue.  The road from the gate to the water’s edge has been rocked with caliche and we were able to launch and retrieve our 17’ aluminum Tracker without a problem.

Probably because of the recent rains, the water was very turbid limiting visibilty to less than 12 inches.  Water temp was 68 degrees.

The lake is really deep on the long arm.  I graphed consistent 20+ feet of water but saw no fish on or near the bottom.
