Fellow member Vern Leder and I fished Live Oak Creek from 8:30 to 2:30.  Conditions were finally awesome with no wind early and just light wind throughout the day.  Water was very clear and down about 3 feet, but fishable and accessable with a small boat.  We had 5 bites almost immediately on top water poppers and caught a 3.83 lb. LMB.  We caught nearly all the other fish on plastics (Senkos, worms, creature baits, etc.) near the bank and all over the lake.  There is a lot of vegetation throughout the lake, nearly all subsurface, which provides cover for the fish nearly everywhere.  If you can find the holes in the vegetation, you will get bites nearly immediately.  We had luck with Texas rigged baits, with and without weight and wacky rigged Senkos.  We finished with 39 total, some around 1 lb fish with about a 1/3 of the fish in the 1 to 1-½ lb range.  3-4 fish were over 3 lbs.

The property can be a little tricky to find.  There is currenlty no PWF sign on the gate and once inside the gate, part of the journey to the lake involves driving accross pastures, which there were no tracks or road.  You will find it, but be prepared for a little confusion.

Any day with this much action is a REALLY Good day!!!!
