This property has multiple lakes ranging from several 1/4 to 1/2 acre lakes to one 3 acre lake and the largest a 10 acre lake built in 2006. The lake was stocked using the best current data in fisheries management, with the proper amounts of coppernose bluegill, red ear sunfish, fathead minnows in the spring and then the bass added in the fall. The windmill on the lake is an aeration system, used strictly for the health of the fish. This lake is on a fertilization and feeding program. The other smaller ponds do hold fish. The lake was stocked in 2007 and has already produced several fish in excess of 9 lbs.

The main lake is wide open with little protection on windy days making it difficult to fish. You may launch your boat from spillway on largest lake or there is a second boat launch area about 1/4 of the way down the main lake. Drive slowly and enter concrete spillway at an angle when launching boats. Lower profile cars and trucks may bottom out when entering the concrete spillway. Go slow and enter at an angle!

Please do not touch the fish feeders.

If you are looking for a couple of close places to eat, you may want to try My Estella Mexican Restaurant for good food at great prices. For lunch you may want to try Honey Bee Coffee and Sandwiches (open 8am to 2 pm). Both restaurants are on the Old Main Street of downtown Howe.
