Jones Lake – A Hidden Gem for Fly Fishing and Bank Fishing

Welcome to the 7-acre tank, a young and meticulously designed fishing lake perfect for anglers of all skill levels. With its abundant standing timber, man-made brush piles, two piers, and a fish feeder, this lake is truly built to grow healthy fish and provide an exciting fishing experience.

  • Rich Fishery: Home to some of the largest, fattest bluegill and red ear sunfish you’ll encounter, this lake is ideal for anglers seeking quality catches. In addition to sunfish, the lake supports shad year-round and tilapia from late spring through early winter.
  • Fishing Access: The lake’s perimeter is accessible for bank fishing, making it perfect for those who prefer fishing from the shore. Fly fishing enthusiasts will also appreciate the accessibility and the varied habitats around the lake.
  • Depths and Structure: With depths reaching 16 feet, the lake offers plenty of room for fish to thrive. The combination of natural and man-made structures—such as timber and brush piles—creates ideal hiding spots for fish, making for an engaging fishing experience.

Location: Located just 1.5 miles from Clarksville Alysha Ranch, this lake offers an excellent opportunity for a half-day fishing trip followed by a half-day at Alysha Ranch—making it the perfect destination for an all-day fishing adventure.

Requirements


  • MANDATORY!!! Remove all bass 14" and under at this site. Report the total number of each species removed, back to the club office through the online reservation system after your outing.

  • Take all trash with you. Clean boat of all trash including your used soft plastics.
