Lake Encino is 15-20 acres depending on water level. Like most south Texas lakes, the size varies depending on yearly rain fall. We have seen the lake as small lake 8 acres in the drought and as large as 23 acres when full. There are some large trees throughout the lake and water to 22 feet. Red Ear Sunfish, Coppernose Bluegill are the primary food source. Lake record bass in 10.5 lbs . There is not an improved boat launch, but the ground is hard and launching boats up to 17 feet from the emergency spillway should not be a problem.

Lake Leinweber sits above Lake Encino. You will pass Lake Leinweber on your way to Lake Encino. Please note that your reservation does NOT allow you to fish both lakes. If Lake Leinweber does not have a fisherman, it is NOT an excuse to fish the Lake Leinweber. Fishing any lake other than the one on your reservation will result in automatic termination of your membership. Don't chance it.

MANDATORY!!! Remove all bass 14" and under at this site. Report the total number of each species removed, back to the club office through the online reservation system after your outing.

Take all trash with you. Clean boat of all trash including your used soft plastics.
