Lake Encino – A Beautiful and Diverse Fishing Destination

Welcome to Lake Encino, a stunning 15-20 acre lake that offers a dynamic fishing experience depending on the water level, which varies with annual rainfall. In times of drought, the lake can shrink to as small as 8 acres, while during wetter years, it can stretch as large as 23 acres. This fluctuation creates a unique and ever-changing environment for anglers to explore.

Key Features:

  • Dynamic Size: The lake size changes with the seasons, offering different fishing conditions each time you visit. With depths reaching 22 feet, there are plenty of opportunities to fish in both shallow and deep areas.
  • Abundant Habitat: The lake is dotted with large trees and natural features, providing shelter and feeding grounds for fish. These elements make for an exciting and varied fishing experience.
  • Bass & Forage: Red Ear Sunfish and Coppernose Bluegill are the primary forage species, supporting a healthy fishery. The lake is also home to the lake record bass at an impressive 10.5 lbs, making it a prime destination for bass fishing.
  • Boat Launch: While there is no improved boat launch, the ground is firm enough to launch boats up to 17 feet from the emergency spillway without difficulty.

Fishing Etiquette:

  • Fishing Restrictions: Please note, Lake Leinweber, located above Lake Encino, is not included in your reservation. If Lake Leinweber is unoccupied, you are NOT permitted to fish there. Fishing any lake outside of the one on your reservation will result in automatic termination of your membership. Always ensure you are fishing only in the lake you have reserved.

Whether you’re targeting big bass or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings, Lake Encino offers a fishing experience that’s as unique and varied as the landscape itself. Be sure to respect the fishing guidelines to make the most of your time at this beautiful, private lake.
