Heartland 10-10 Ranch – A Trophy Bass Paradise

Spanning 2,000 acres, Heartland 10-10 Ranch features four incredible lakes, each 35 acres or larger, managed for trophy bass fishing since their creation.

Leaky Lake Highlights:

  • Size & Depth: 35 acres with depths up to 28 feet.
  • Big Bass Potential: Home to the ranch record bass of 14.12 lbs, Leaky Lake consistently produces large fish but can be unpredictable.
  • Boats Provided: Two 18-foot all-aluminum boats equipped with live wells, foot-controlled trolling motors, and 24-volt systems powered by four batteries each for all-day fishing. Additional boats may be available upon request.

Lodging Options:

  • Two lodging facilities are available on the ranch and require separate reservations.
  • When all four lakes are reserved, only two lodging groups can be accommodated.
  • Nearby motels in Marshall (less than 10 miles away) are a convenient alternative.

Fishing Guidelines:

  • Reservations: A two-adult minimum is required. Each lake reservation is separate, with charges for each lake. For multi-lake trips, book AM and PM sessions individually.
  • Lake Selection: Stick to the lake you reserve. Driving around the ranch is prohibited to protect the active whitetail breeding and hunting operations.

Pro Tip: With extensive cover and size, each lake offers plenty of fishing for a full day—switching lakes isn't necessary, but you’ll want to return to try them all! Parties of five or more can reserve two neighboring lakes for a group adventure.

Requirements


  • Mandatory Fish Removal: Remove all bass 15 inches and under. Report the total number of each species removed through the online reservation system after your outing.

  • Reserved Lakes Only: You must fish the lake you reserve. Driving around the ranch is prohibited to protect the active whitetail breeding and hunting operation.

  • No Outside Boats: Only ranch-provided boats may be used.

  • Trolling Motor Tip: To bring the motor back up, step on the bracket mount to relieve tension on the locking mechanism.

  • Two Adult Minimum: At least two adults are required to fish this site.

  • Full Day Required for Half Day: No half-day reservations unless you book a full day first.

  • Advanced Notice: 24-hour notice is required to fish; 48-hour notice is required for lodging.

  • Check-in/Check-out: Check-in at 3:00 P.M.; Check-out at 12:00 P.M.

  • Availability: When all four lakes are reserved, only two lodging groups can be accommodated.

  • Trash Policy: Take all trash, including fishing line and soft plastics, with you when you leave.

  • Respect Driving Paths: Use caution to avoid damaging the ranch’s roads and paths.
