Long Lake, a Quary Lake in Wills Point, Texas

This 8-acre rock quarry lake, located just 50 miles east of downtown Dallas, offers a secluded fishing experience amid multiple quarry lakes in the surrounding area. With steep banks and deep waters, it is a pristine setting for bass fishing, especially for those seeking quality fish.

Fishing Potential:

  • Quality Bass: A test fish in June 2021 revealed a few very quality bass, including some up to 7 lbs. As a quarry lake, the water is typically deep and clear, offering excellent fishing conditions for bass.
  • Secluded Environment: Despite being surrounded by other quarry lakes, this lake feels very private and isolated, giving anglers a peaceful fishing experience.

Fishing Regulations:

  • Harvesting Bass: MANDATORY removal of all bass 14" and under at this site to help maintain a healthy bass population. If you catch any bass under 14 inches, they must be removed from the lake.
  • Catch Reporting: You are required to report the total number of each species removed after your outing, via the online reservation system. Please be diligent about reporting your harvest.

Property Access:

  • Exclusive Access: Your reservation is only for this specific lake. Please be mindful of the rule that you may not fish in any other lake on the property or surrounding areas. Fishing in other lakes will lead to termination of your membership.

  • Deep Water: The lake’s quarry origins provide deep waters with steep banks, making it ideal for bass and other species to thrive.
  • Privacy: The lake feels secluded and offers a more exclusive experience compared to other, more accessible lakes in the area.

Requirements


  • The entry gate is next to a residence, please be respectful of their privacy and make your way to and from the lake as quickly and quietly as possible. If you are meeting someone at the lake, please meet at the lake itself or on the County Road vs the gate.

  • Take all trash with you. Clean boat of all trash including your used soft plastics.

  • MANDATORY!!! Remove all bass 14" and under at this site. Report the total number of each species removed, back to the club office through the online reservation system after your outing.

  • Please note there are many lakes on this property and surrounding property. Your reservation is for this lake only. YOU MAY NOT FISH IN ANY OTHER LAKE. IGNORANCE OF THIS RULE IS NOT AN EXCUSE. IF YOU ARE FISHING ON THE OTHER LAKES YOUR MEMBERSHIP WILL BE TERMINATED.
