MK Ranch – Athens, Texas

Just 2 miles south of the Athens loop, MK Ranch is a 14-acre paradise for bass anglers. The centerpiece of the property is a bass lake that has been carefully managed for over a decade, offering exceptional fishing opportunities.

The lake features aquatic vegetation, submerged trees, laydowns, and a creek channel, creating a diverse habitat for bass. It’s home to numerous 3-6 lb bass, with several fish over 9 lbs caught each year.

The boat house, located along the dam, offers access to two boats:

  • A 15-foot pontoon boat with two comfortable seats.
  • A 12-foot wide jon boat.

Important Note: You’ll need to bring your own trolling motor and batteries for use on the boats.

Whether you’re after quality bass fishing or a relaxing day on the water, MK Ranch delivers an unforgettable experience.

Requirements


  • Mandatory Fish Removal: Remove all bass 14 inches and under. Report the total number of each species removed through the online reservation system after your outing.

  • Trash Policy: Take all trash with you. Clean the boat, including removing used soft plastics, before leaving.
