Welcome to Pecan Gap: Your 11-Acre Fishing Oasis
Just a few miles north of Gainesville, Pecan Gap offers 11 acres of prime fishing opportunities. With features like humps, points, islands, trees, and varying depths—ranging over 18 feet—this lake is a haven for big bass. Undergoing intensive management for the past few years, it boasts a healthy forage base of bluegill and gizzard shad, with tilapia added in the summer. You can also find slab crappie exceeding 16 inches.
For your convenience, there’s a mini pontoon boat available and a concrete boat ramp for easy access. Please bring your own trolling motor and battery. The lake is accessible via a keypad entrance and is connected by an all-weather rock road.
