Cody Ranch – A Premier Fishing Destination

Cody Ranch, spanning 3,000 acres in Coalgate, Oklahoma, is a unique and unparalleled property in our club. Conveniently located within a 2.5-hour drive from Dallas and under 2.5 hours from Oklahoma City and Tulsa, it’s an easy getaway for members across the region.

Fishing Opportunities

With 9 lakes ranging from 6 to 50 acres, Cody Ranch is divided into six fishing reservations:

  1. Twin Lakes (South 17 acres, North 10 acres) – East side of the ranch.
  2. Hart Lakes – Near the ranch’s center.
  3. Crabgrass & Peach Creek Lakes – North end of the ranch.
  4. Moonshine Lake (30 acres) – Central location, next to the Cabin.
  5. China Lake (25 acres) – Northeast part of the ranch, stocked in 2018.
  6. Acker Lake (50 acres) – Southernmost, stocked in 2019.

Twin Lakes Details:

  • South Twin Lake: 17 acres, depths up to 19 feet. Low-density bass population with healthy, fat fish in the 2-4 lb range. Excellent bluegill forage base. The lake features timber and submerged brush piles. A Jon boat with bench seating is available.
  • North Twin Lake: 10 acres.

Lodging Options

  1. The Lodge:

    • 5 bedrooms (8 twin beds, 1 king bed).
    • Two living areas.
    • Overlooks a scenic 6-acre lake.

  2. The Cabin:

    • For smaller groups (2-3 fishermen).
    • 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, with a large loft suitable for kids.
    • Fully equipped kitchen, linens, towels, cable TV, and a propane grill.
    • Adjacent to Moonshine Lake with a patio and picnic tables.
    • Note: No air conditioning, heat provided.

Important Notes:

  • Lodging reservations: The Cabin is available only when The Lodge is already booked.
  • All reservations are lake-specific.
  • Be mindful of driving paths; Cody Ranch is an active ranch with diverse operations.

Requirements


  • Catch and Release Only: DO NOT HARVEST ANY BASS at this site.

  • Crappie Removal: You may harvest crappie. Report the total number removed through the club’s online reservation system after your outing.

  • Advance Notice: A 48-hour notice is required for lodging reservations.

  • Trash Policy: Take all trash accumulated during your stay with you upon departure.

  • Check-in/Check-out Times:

  • Check-in: 3:00 P.M.

  • Check-out: 12:00 P.M. (Noon)
