Boat LaunchNot a concrete ramp, but large fiberglass boats can be launched from ramp area.
Big water close to Austin is not easy to find. This 35-acre soil conservation lake is just 1 mile off of I35, 22 miles south of Austin, and 58 miles north of downtown San Antonio. The city of Kyle is rapidly growing with housing developments, retail shops, and schools. There is a hospital less than 1/2 mile from the lake. However, you feel like you are miles away from the city. There is a large green belt all the way around this well-manicured lake, which gives it a "country" feel even though you are in town.
Most of the lake is just 3 to 6 feet deep, with a handful of 8 to 12-foot pockets. Shock surveys produced a very healthy population of bass and crappie. The forage bass is bluegill, red ear sunfish, and lots of gizzard shad.
There is a rock boat launch area to launch all sizes of boats. The property is mowed weekly and an ideal spot to spend all day or knock off for a few hours after work.
***DO NOT HARVEST ANY BASS AT THIS SITE. You may still remove any crappie caught and report them to the club office through the online reservation system after your outing***
Requirements
Please do not drag the jon boat on the rock ramp.
Please note that we will not refund any monies on this property. Expect to have others fishing on the lake. We understand that this is not ideal and not what we want like a typical property. However, the fishing is generally very good and many of our members have requested we keep it, despite, other parties fishing on the lake.
***DO NOT HARVEST ANY BASS AT THIS SITE. You may still remove any crappie caught and report them to the club office through the online reservation system after your outing***
